It is a small university of around 5,600 students studying at both undergraduate and postgraduate level on a wide range of programmes. We believe research is key and it provides the foundations for many of our taught postgraduate programmes. Study is available in humanities, arts, social sciences, business, education and English language.

Accommodation

Accommodation in the University of Winchester Halls of Residence is guaranteed for all non-EU students for the duration of their course, provided they reserve a place at least three months prior to arrival. Please visit our Accommodation pages for further information.

Location

The main campus is delightfully situated within a compact and pleasant campus on a wooded hillside overlooking the beautiful cathedral city of Winchester. The campus enjoys magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and is a 10-minute walk into the city centre.

Excellent facilities

student smilingThe University of Winchester boasts an extensive modern library, new and well-equipped IT Centres, active Student Union and great sports facilities. The University Centre is a new flagship building opens in autumn 2007 and will provide a number of key social facilities for the whole University community. It includes a new Student Union with a 1,200 venue space complete with bars and cinema, a range of catering facilities, main reception, a bookshop, mini-mart and Internet cafe.
