Undergraduate and postgraduate entry requirements.
Undergraduate entry qualifications

Students applying for a Bachelors (BA/BSc/LLB) degree at Winchester will be required to have one of the following qualifications:
- Satisfactorily completion of a one year UK Foundation course (normally with a minimum of 60% and above)
- A high school diploma with a good GPA
and either
- SAT I with a minimum balanced score of 1100 (prior 2005 changes) or 1800 (after 2005)
or
- ACT composite score of 26
- Advanced Placement Examination with Grades 3+ in at least two, and preferably three Advanced Placement tests*
- Satisfactorily completion of one year of a college/university program with good GPA from a recognised university (the GPA requirements would largely vary depending on the degree chosen)
- Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a score of at least 28-32 is usually required
- A two year Associate degree satisfies the general entrance requirements and usually makes students eligible for advanced standing onto the second year
- Professional diploma from a technical school (two years post-secondary in a specialized field of study)
*A combination of subject related AP and SAT II may also be eligible for entry into our undergraduate degrees. AP or SAT II scores will be a pre-requisite for entry into certain subjects
Personal statement
Students must supply the University with a detailed personal statement explaining why you want to join the University of Winchester and why the programme you are applying for interests you. You will also need to supply the University of Winchester with an academic reference, which should be from on official headed paper and notarised where possible.
Postgraduate entry qualifications:
All students applying for a Masters degree (MA/MSc/MBA) at Winchester should hold one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree when awarded by a regionally accredited institution with a general GPA of 2.8 or above, depending on the course
- Applicants without a first degree but with five to seven years relevant work experience may also be considered on an individual basis for some Masters programmes
