Dr Jardine is Head of the Department of English, Creative Writing and American Studies in the Faculty of Arts. He has been a lecturer in English Literature at the University of Winchester since 1978. He has taught a wide range of periods and genres in that time and for many years specialized in early modern literature, with a particular interest in drama. More recently he has diversified into cultural studies and postcolonial literature and theory. He has published in these areas.
