Phill is Senior Lecturer in Leadership & Management. He has lectured part-time at Winchester since 2007. Phill also delivers consultancy assignments for both commercial and not-for-profit organisations, as well as working as a Business Mentor with SMEs.
He has a first degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Contemporary Global Studies. Phill has also studied Career Counselling and Consultancy – reflecting his interest in the interface between employees and the labour market.
Prior to lecturing, Phill worked for a number of international organisations, whose activities spanned food processing, manufacturing, pub/restaurant operations and out-of-town retailing. Most of his business career has been in the field of human resource management, with particular focus on organisational development and employee relations.
Phill has worked as a Director and Board Member of a number of Charities and Social Enterprises. In these roles he has had exposure to the challenges of business planning and governance. He has a particular interest in how such organisations demonstrate the impact and added-value of their activities.
