David Way CBE is Visiting Professor of Knowledge Exchange in the University's Business School.

Formerly CEO of the National Apprenticeship Service, he has been Skills Advisor to organisations in the UK and overseas, including the Energy and Utilities Skills Partnership, the National Skills Academy for Rail, Birmingham City University and the Government of Jamaica. He was awarded a CBE in 2012 for services to Apprenticeships.

David is Convenor of the University's new Centre for Apprenticeship Research and Knowledge Exchange and is currently working on a Social Mobility Pipeline to Degree Apprenticeships project.
