Riverside Way and Cathedral Point

Riverside Way and Cathedral Point

Living off Campus in a ‘Halls’ style environment – New for 2018!

Winchester is currently undergoing an exciting period of development around the City with purpose built student accommodation being built within walking distance to the University.

There are two new purpose built, student accommodation options coming online for 2018!

Cathedral Point, Andover Road

Brand new, purpose built student accommodation will be available for September 2018, situated on the Andover Road, close to the train station. The site is currently well under development and as such we have few details we can provide you with, however, we are positive that this will be the ideal living environment for our students.

The accommodation will consist of approximately 257 beds and is located adjacent to Winchester Railway Station. The location is ideal with only a 10-15 minute walk to the University and 5 minutes into the City Centre.

Cathedral Point will comprise of en-suite rooms set up in a very similar way to accommodation in Burma and Queens Road, but likely with double beds instead of single beds. There will also be approximately 61 studios available.

There will also be a large communal room downstairs for all residents to use.

It is likely that there will be no parking for residents, but bicycle storage facilities will be available.

It is likely that the cost of accommodation will vary between £159-169 per week.

Riverside Way, Winnall

Riverside Way was opened in September 2017 and we used a proportion of the rooms to house new 1st year students for the 17/18 academic year. This has proved really successful and so we hope to be able to offer this again for 18/19.

How will allocations work?

The University will have a nominations agreement with the accommodation management company. Applicants can still apply for the accommodation through the University, but the management company will then contact the student with room offer details and the contract.
