Book Launch: Mental Wellbeing in Schools
Book nowMonday 10 October 2022, 4.30pm - 6pm
Studio 2, The Stripe, King Alfred Quarter, University of Winchester
There is arguably no greater issue concerning educational spheres at the moment than the importance of young people's mental wellbeing and how diverse pupils uniquely experience challenges and opportunities for their wellbeing.
We would love you to join us alongside authors, practitioners and researchers to discuss the most current ideas and thinking in educational practice around mental wellbeing in schools.
This event will also launch the new book Mental Wellbeing in Schools: What Teachers Can Do to Support Pupils from Diverse Backgrounds. Co-edited by Dr Liam Satchell (Winchester) and Dr Arif Mahmud (Roehampton), this book is a practical text for supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds and cover topics including religious background, gender, sexuality, and specialist topics such as bereavement.
