Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry St, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 8SB

Last year saw the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexual acts. After fifty years, groups and communities are not only continuing working for equality and recognition but also building to further our knowledge on LGBT+ history. The Modern History Research Centre at the University of Winchester in partnership with Winchester Discovery Centre organised in 2017 this exhibition in order to highlight current investigations taken by early-career researchers from different universities around the country. Following the success of this exhibition, it will been shown again in 2018. The panels explore historical perspectives, experiences and events of LGBT+ communities in modern history across different countries.
