Amidst the political turmoil of Brexit and Trump, Anthony Barnett will argue that it is England and the English who are taking Britain out of the EU.

What are the causes of this explosive English dissatisfaction? How should we respond, given that the answer the English themselves have embraced with Brexit - of Great Britain alone in the world - is heading for disaster?
