Thinking about Anglo-Saxon rulers in Wessex and beyond: A Panel Discussion on Alfred—Æthelred—Cnut: Professor Richard Abels (US Naval Academy, ret’d) in conversation with Dr Ryan Lavelle and Emerita Professor Barbara Yorke

Dr Ryan Lavelle is Reader in Early Medieval History and Convenor of the University’s Wessex Centre for History and Archaeology. He is an internationally recognised expert on King Alfred. His latest book is Cnut, the North Sea King.

Emerita Professor Barbara Yorke is Professor of Early Medieval History and Honorary Professor at the Institute of Archaeology at University College London.
