Nursing in the UK has reached a critical point; with a shortage of staff to fill posts there is an increasing demand to produce more registered nurses. Here at the University of Winchester we are in the process of setting up a brand new suite of nursing programmes - the first of which is our BN (Hons) Nursing (Adult). The development of these programmes aims to serve the common good; creating high quality and compassionate nurses who are relevant and ready for the healthcare landscape of today.
We are committed to working with our healthcare partners, service users and the public, to gather opinion about what values and attributes they would like to see in Winchester nursing graduates.
We want to hear from as many people as possible about what they think makes a good nurse. We will then endeavour to embed your contribution into the course delivery, to make sure we are educating nurses in a way that is reflective of public opinion.
