Research Seminar Series Four Autumn 2017

Presenter: Dr Vicky Randall, Senior Lecturer in Education, EHSC

Chair: Professor Norma Daykin, Professor of Arts as Wellbeing, Centre for the Arts as Wellbeing

In this seminar, Vicky will present her report from a recent large scale national study into the preparation of teachers in primary physical education. She will discuss the opportunities and challenges of working with large scale data (mixed methods) that has cross-sector and political interest. The seminar will conclude with a focus on research impact beyond an academic community and the competing discourses of who should be physically educating our young people.

This fourth series continues to examine methodologies used in health and wellbeing research and is also broadening to include other health and wellbeing research-related topics. Participating researchers can explore critical challenges in research and knowledge exchange, share expertise and forge connections that will support the development of future projects across a wide range of themes. All welcome and please feel free to bring your lunch with you.
