These authors will be talking about their work:

  • Azrini Wahidin, Professor of Criminology at Nottingham Trent University
  • Rod Earle, Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the Open University
  • Karen Evans, Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Liverpool
  • Simon Pemberton, Research Fellow in Social Policy at Birmingham University
  • Peter Squires, Professor of Criminology at the University of Brighton

There will also be speakers from the Joint Enterprise Not guilty by Association Campaign (JENGBA).

Barrister Mark George will explain why the ‘Orgreave Truth & Justice Campaign’ is calling for a public inquiry into the policing of the miners’ strike of 1984-5.

Other speakers will be looking at the impact of the Black Lives Matter campaign in the US & UK.
