The University of Winchester reveals plans for the construction of a new learning and teaching building at its West Downs site on Romsey Road, Winchester, at a public exhibition and presentation on Wednesday 2 November 2016.

The project presents an exciting opportunity to create an impressive addition to Winchester's civic buildings at the main gateway into the city centre from the south-west where it will be visible from the Romsey Road.
The contemporary design - which will be built on existing green space within the site - includes a 250-seat auditorium, art gallery, café, food hall, library, social learning areas and teaching spaces.

The development will provide state-of-the-art facilities to improve the quality of teaching space and meet the changing demands of higher education.
The University invites members of the local community to view and offer feedback on the designs and talk to the project team on Wednesday 2 November at West Downs.
A drop-in exhibition will be open between 4pm and 7pm in the Link Gallery, West Downs Centre, Romsey Road, Winchester SO22 5HT, and a short presentation will follow at 7.15pm in the Shakespeare Room.
Views expressed will contribute to the formal pre-planning application consultation. It is expected that the planning application will be submitted in early December 2016.
All are welcome to come along to the exhibition and presentation and there is no need to book.
