What are you up to these days?

Reading...

The weekend after graduation I took the plunge and moved to London to start my new job as an editorial assistant for the International Law Office. My day to day roles include communicating with major law firms across the globe, agreeing article deadlines, and editing and proofing articles before scheduling them for publication. I am currently looking after several jurisdictions, including Canada and South Africa. I am also still writing my own stuff, some of which I publish on my blog.

Favourite Uni memory

To pinpoint and label one memory from my time at Winchester as my favourite is almost impossible.

I was most proud when I sat in the Cathedral and saw that I had won the award for best dissertation in English Literature. It was then that I realised that, despite all of the library sessions, trips up and down the dreaded Winchester hills with half of the library’s contents and all the tears, it had all been worth it.

Advice for new students

Enjoy every moment, take every opportunity you can and don’t be afraid to express yourself. Believe that you can, read lots and write even more. Take a break. Popcorn is a great library snack.

Best thing about The University of Winchester:

Throughout my first year I worried that I had chosen the wrong university and often wished that I had gone somewhere bigger but in the end the size of the uni was probably my favourite. Also, the lecturers really care and it’s a beautiful campus.

Guilty pleasure

Mamma Mia
