Biography

Kelly has been an academic at the University of Winchester since August 2020 and is currently Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Third Year Lead.  

Kelly completed a BSc in Physiotherapy and worked as clinician predominantly within the NHS for 17 years before moving into Higher Education.  She has a MSc in Neurorehabiltiation from Brunel University and PGCert in Healthcare Leadership from University of Birmingham. 

Kelly's clinical experites is in the field of Neurosciences having previously worked at Extended Scope Practitioner and Consultant Level and experience across the pathway from Hyper-Acute Tertiary services through to community services.  She has held Senior Leadership Roles within Acute trusts for 8 years prior to moving into Education here at University of Winchester.  

Kelly has experience in teaching undergraduate physiotherapy students both as lecturer and as clinical educator in previous roles, as well as experience in teaching and development of postgradaute clinical staff.  Her main teaching interests relate to Neurosciences and Neurorehabiltiation, Patient Safety, Leadership and Service Improvement and Development of Resilience skills for future practice.
