January Highlights

1 Feb 23

Welcome to 2023 where we are looking forward to a new year, new projects and new opportunities with the same great Winton Society community! Here’s how our year has started so far…

Welcome back Cara

This month we welcome back Cara Honey, Alumni Engagement Manager, as she returns from Maternity leave. Cara first joined the Alumni team in November 2021 and has already hit the ground running since returning at the start of January. Looking forward to the year ahead Cara said:

‘It’s brilliant to be back and heading up such an amazing team. The growth of our Alumni community has been a pleasure to witness and has provided us with a great foundation to build on this year. With so many exciting projects and events in the pipeline for 2023, it’s going to be a brilliant year for the Winton Society.’

The Winton Society Awards 2023 are back…

…And nominations are officially open! Following the success of last years event we are delighted to be hosting the Winton Society Awards for its second year. The awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the amazing people who have worked and studied at Winchester, and we are welcoming nominations until 16th April.

Nominations can be submitted via this online form where full details of the 5 award categories are also listed.

University merchandise is growing, have your say!

Over the last few weeks, we have been conducting a series of staff and student focus groups as we look to expand and develop the existing University merchandise offering. In the five sessions we have listened to student and staff feedback on our existing product range, discussed ideas about potential future products, and key considerations to take into account as we look to grow our offering.

Feed into the discussion, and share your views in this short survey

Alumni Art Exhibition – still time to be involved

Following a call out in our Winton Society Autum Newsletter, where we invited expressions of interest from alumni artists to take part in an ‘open’ group exhibition this summer in the beautiful West Downs Gallery, it has been fantastic to receive interest from a diverse range of artists. The goal of the exhibition is to curate a varied exhibition of excellent work that celebrates the artistic vision and creative talents of our alumni community.

If you work as a professional artist or pursue art as a hobby and would be interested in contributing a piece of artwork, please complete this online form and we will be in touch with more information.
