Biography

Dr Bea Myers is a Senior Lecturer in Law. She is also a 'Mental Health Act Review Manager' for Southern NHS Trust, and a Magistrate for West Hampshire (Southampton).

Bea's research interests include International Criminal Law, Criminal Justice and the Death Penalty. She completed her PhD in International Criminal Law at the University of Sussex in late 2016, supervised by Prof. Craig Barker & Prof. Richard Vogler.

Bea enjoys teaching Equity & Trusts Law, Criminal Law, and Criminal Justice. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Previously, Bea has been the Programme Leader for Law, as well as the Faculty Wellbeing and Employability Tutor (FWET) for Law. She was awarded 'Personal Tutor of the Year' by the SU in 2019.
