The exhibition focuses on climate change and will showcase original paintings, drawings, music and documentary videos, performance poetry, audio-visual plays, sculptures and physical installations.
It follows on from the success of an album by the University’s record label, Splendid Fred Records. The album, also titled This Changes Everything, features 11 songs about climate change and it won a Green Gown Award in 2017.
Glenn Fosbraey, Programme Leader of Creative Writing and Label Boss at Splendid Fred Records, said: “Creating the album, This Changes Everything, was one small step on the way to alerting people of crucial environmental issues. This exhibition aims to build on this, bringing the local community together, through a shared love of art, in the fight against climate change.”

Local charity Winchester Action on Climate Change (WinACC) will also be holding a special film screening of documentary film In Our Hands: Seeding Change. The film tells the story of real life stories of British farmers seizing the Brexit movement to outgrow the industrial food system and create a fairer food system for all.
Splendid Fred Records is a music and spoken-word label based at the University of Winchester which actively promotes positive values and thinking for students, staff and the wider community. It launched in 2015 with the release of A list of things I never did, a compilation album of original songs featuring eleven different singers and songwriters.
The This Changes Everything exhibition takes place from 3-10pm on Saturday 3 February in The Stripe, King Alfred Campus, University of Winchester, Sparkford Road, Winchester, Hampshire, SO22 4NR. In Our Hands: Seeding Change will be screened at 4pm on the same day.
Following the event, selected works will be displayed between 4-25 February in the University’s Link Gallery. The Link Gallery is open weekdays 9am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-4pm. Entry is free, tickets are not required, and members of the public are welcome to both events.
