Planning your visit
Getting to the University of Winchester is easy, whether you're arriving by car, train, or on foot. Our campus is just a 10-minute walk from the city centre and Winchester train station. Once you're here, you’ll find a welcoming environment with a mix of modern facilities and green open spaces. While we can’t do much about Winchester’s famously hilly landscape, everything on campus is close together, with cafés, shops, gyms, and laundrettes all within easy reach. We’re proud to be a green campus, with sustainability embedded in our day-to-day operations and plenty of quiet spots to pause and enjoy the surroundings. Visitor parking is available on a pre-booked basis, with some parking for our overnight guests available on a first come, first served basis, with charges applying via the RinGo parking app. Free Wi-Fi is available through the UOW Visitor network, and our Security team is on-site 24/7 should you need any support.

GETTING HERE
The campus is 5 minutes away from junction 11 of the M3, with taxi journeys only a few minutes away from Winchester train station. Direct lines to London Waterloo are run twice hourly, making Winchester the perfect commuter location.

Only 1 hour from London, 15 minutes from Southampton Airport, and 45 minutes from Bournemouth, Winchester is easy to reach by road, rail, and air. The University campus is a 10-minute walk from the city centre and train station, with good transport links and on-site visitor parking. By car, we’re just off the M3, making access simple from across the South.
