Biography

I have worked for the University of Winchester since September 2021 as a lecturer in Professional Policing and previously spent 31 years as a police officer with Hampshire Constabulary.

I have a broad knowledge of all things police related and across the criminal justice system.

I was a detective for 24 years and was a qualified senior investigating officer for homicide, child deaths, kidnaps and extortions and serious and complex crime.

I joined the University of Winchester to help the next generation of public sector workers and those who want to enter roles within criminal justice and policing. I have a wealth of experience that will bring the academic theory and practice to life and hopefully make your journey through university interesting, enjoyable, memorable, and worthwhile.

I have an MSc in Policing, Leadership and Public Policy, have just completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, and will continue my studies as a MSc student in criminology starting September 2023. My thirst for new knowledge remains high.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time away in my campervan with my partner and our doggie, I am still learning to play the violin, I enjoy most sports and of course I will be studying and submitting my own assignments too.
