Biography

Emile Bojesen is Director of Research & Innovation for the University of Winchester and Professor of Philosophy and Education.

Emile was previously Faculty Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange, as well as REF 2021 Unit of Assessment Lead for Education. He was one of the Authorised Submitters for REF2021.

He has successfully supervised PhD students to completion and currently supervises 4 PhD students (all as Director of Studies). He also has extensive experience of postgraduate and undergraduate dissertation supervision.

Since 2010 he has taught philosophically oriented education modules on both the BA Education Studies and MA Philosophy of Education. Between 2015 and 2018 he was Programme Leader for the MA Philosophy of Education and a member of University Senate and the Honorary Awards Committee. Between 2013 and 2015 he was the University's Skills Development Manager for PGR students and supervisors, which included Programme Leadership for the Postgraduate Certificate in Research Skills and the Postgraduate Certificate in Research Degree Supervision. Between 2011 and 2013 he was leader of the Early Childhood pathway on the BA Education Studies programme.

Higher Education Teaching Qualification: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
