Helen M. Ryan (formerly James) LLB (Hons), LLM, PGCert, FHEA is Senior LEcturer in LAw and Head of the Law Department. She worked previously at the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales).
Helen has been at the University of Winchester since January 2008. She has been Head of Law since 2010 and is one of the founding members of the Department. Helen has a 20-year career in academia and has worked widely across the higher education sector. She has a strong interest in learning and teaching and has contributed significantly to the development of the discipline, not least during her time as Academic Researcher for the UK Centre for Legal Education at the University of Warwick.
