Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis events

Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis is a community climate and sustainability action group, based at and supported by the University. They run an active annual programme of events, from regular meet-ups to themed talks and workshops.

Creativity Collaborative events

Since 2021, the University of Winchester Academy Trust, University of Winchester academics and local Hampshire schools have been working together to develop teaching for creativity across the school curriculum. This Creativity Collaborative is part of a national programme funded by Arts Council England and the Freelands Foundation to develop and test a range of innovative practices in fostering creativity and creative thinking in education.

Refugee Education Conference 18 June 2025

The University of Winchester is proud to be a University of Sanctuary. As part of this year's Refugee Week (16-22 June), our Sanctuary Network, which includes Refugee Education experts, is organising a Refugee Education Conference.

The event will include workshops led by Refugee Education UK, EMTAS (the Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service), the International Rescue Committee and Student Action for Refugees. There will be an opportunity to hear directly from pupils and students from a forced migration background and the staff who support them, as well as time set aside throughout the day for networking and relationship building.

The conference is open to external attendees as well as staff and students. Timings: 9.30 - 16.00; the venue is the West Downs Quarter, Romsey Road, Winchester SO22 5HT.
