University named a top UK training provider for degree apprenticeships

10 Nov 2020

The University of Winchester is celebrating after being named one of the UK's top 50 training providers at the RateMyApprenticeship Awards 2020 for its degree apprenticeship courses.

The league table of UK top training providers rewards those who have delivered exceptional training, and is based on the reviews of students across all apprenticeship and school leaver schemes on the national website RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk.

"Training providers play a huge role in the success of apprenticeships and at the University of Winchester we pride ourselves on building effective relationships with our employer partners to deliver apprenticeships and learning experiences that support and motivate learners," said Stella McKnight, Director of Employer Partnerships at the University of Winchester.

"It is fantastic to be recognised for delivering exceptional apprenticeship training and even more special and significant because it is voted for by students themselves."

The winners were announced at a special awards event, along with the winners of several other awards. Celebrating the outstanding achievements of apprentices, schools and colleges, universities, employers and training providers in apprenticeships, the awards saw over 400 people come together virtually to recognise the industry's finest.

The University of Winchester offers a range of programmes in digital and technology, designed in close collaboration with employers to ensure that apprentices develop the high-level skills they and their employers need in increasingly competitive markets.

Employer partners include CGI, Fujitsu, BAE Systems and Quicksilva.
