2021 Alumni Recognition Award Winner
We are delighted to be awarding our 2021 Alumni Recognition Award to Gareth Young who graduated in 1995. Sadly, the award is being presented posthumously as Gareth passed away in 2020 at the age of 46. Gareth’s achievements are seen through his legacy of influence to boost, lobby and educate people on the rights, support and pride in teaching. Education International’s general secretary, David Edwards commented "Gareth’s contribution to the future of the international trade union movement and to the cause of teachers will be missed".

Winton Reunion Weekend 8-10 July 2022
Work is underway planning the next Winton Reunion Weekend after a 2-year COVID break. It will be 50/40 years-on for those who left KAC in 1972 and 1982. So why not get a group of your friends together to celebrate in the place where those friendships began?
- Friday 8 July 16:00 – Memorial Service for Martial Rose
- Saturday 9 July Midday – Formal luncheon
- Saturday 9 July Evening – Celebration of 100 years of the NUS – in company of many past KAC Presidents and Vice-Presidents, followed by a “music through the decades” disco, some special guests and more…
The Old Wintonians have now taken over financial and organisational responsibilities for the Winton Reunion Weekend. This will lead to some changes but we are confident that we will be able to deliver a brilliant Reunion.
We are looking forward to seeing you in July.
