Course overview
This professional module takes place in the individuals normal professional setting/place of employment, where the individual will manage their case load under conditions of supervised practice and in independent practice. Students will be guided by seminars and tutorials covering the academic standards required and the use of a model of reflection to structure critical reflection. Decisions made in the workplace should be justified from the evidence-base. This module cannot be combined with the Practice Portfolio module and should not be selected simultaneously with the Independent Practitioner Based Learning module or the Extended Practitioner Based Learning module.

Course details
This module provides the opportunity to operationalise the theoretical principles from other modules that you have taken as appropriate and under the guidance of your workplace mentor and/or line manager.
To gain the credits students will be required to evidence 142 hours of work-based practice and to produce a reflective report based around self-selected critical incidents.
A shorter course (PRPC7005 Practice Portfolio) could be selected which only requires 94 hours of work=based practice and has a shorter assignment. This course is worth 10 credits and has been designed for those needing 10 credits to align with the total number of credits they require to qualify for a Postgraduate Certificate. Please talk to the Programme Leader before making your selection.
