University of Winchester Vice-Chancellor, The Reverend Professor Elizabeth Stuart, said: “The University of Winchester has excelled in the number of graduates from its undergraduate programmes who are in employment and further study. This is especially impressive given the impact of the global pandemic on the economy and on young professionals in particular. This cohort of students who were surveyed in the middle of the pandemic should be proud of all they have achieved despite the challenges they have faced since graduating.

“These fantastic results underline our commitment to the success of our students who go on to make a real difference in the world and are testament to the hard work of colleagues across the University and the employers we work with to shape our courses and help our students to flourish in the real world.”

Tom Lowe, Head of Student Engagement and Employability, said: “The University of Winchester is committed to supporting our students and graduates to develop their employability. Our new offer of Careers Advice for Life gives our graduates support at any stage of their career, as well as our CareerConnect platform advertising dozens of new roles every day. Our new Careers and Opportunities Hub supports our students from day one at Winchester to find part-time employment, take part in placements and enrichment activities, as well as searching for graduate careers towards the end of their degrees.”

Carried out by HESA, the Graduate Outcomes Survey is the largest survey of employment and further study outcomes, exploring what former students from UK universities and other higher education providers are doing 15 months after completing their studies.
